19 – 21 Oct 2011 Cameron Highland, Malaysia (Strawberry + Tea land) ~ 3 day visit to Cameron Highlands with a colleague of mine. It has been ages since i last visited Cameron Highland. Things changed a lot. . Somehow for me, Cameron Highland has becoming less interest to me except the cool weather and nice view of Tea plantation or garden.
This is the first time i get to drive to Cameron Highland. It took me about 4 hours to get there. The road is quite scary. i can't wait for the winding road to end cause i feel a bit tired steering my car. I took the Simpang Pulai Road because people said that road is less stressed than the Tapah Road. Well, i managed to get to Cameron highland safe and sound at noon.
Anyway my trip wasn't really great. I left my camera charger at home. My camera battery were half flat as soon as i arrived at the Sungai Palas Tea plantation. That sucks. I mean, you arrived at the scenic places and you can't fully use your camera and also a colleague who tagged along with you feeling too shy to even click a camera button!!!! (whaaaaa???). So i didn't end up with lots of photos to shares with. Anyway, fortunately i bring my old Lumix with me as a spare. But i still i lost my mood to take photos.
We stayed at Natasya Resort for 2 nights. We get a Jr. Suite room and it was under a promotion bargain (RM169.00). I think it was a real deal. You get a Jr suite apartment for yourself (1 bedroom, kitchen, living & tv room, 2 shower or bathroom, a balcony with a view and your own car park). What i like about the bathroom that they put the Shampoo’s and the liquid soap in a refillable dispenser instead of a small bottle so you can use it as much as you want. Anyway, i got to admit that this is the first time i paid such amount for a room. i usually like to stay at the guest house type of accommodation. Like i said i travel budget, and i travel the way i am and not because everyone is doing it. If i can afford a place, why not? but usually i travel budget :D

The next morning, the weather was nice though it was cloudy and bleakly! We decided to go to Sungai Palas Boh tea centre. I like it there so much. The greenery tea plantation’s spreading wide in front of your eyes. It is really refreshing. You can even have your tea, tit-bits, cakes and scones at their cafetaria. I was a bit frustrated when i arrived there as the scones already finished .. grrrrr... [been planning to get some scones with a tea since i was driving from natasya resort]. Oh well...! You can also visit the tea factory and see how the teas are being process.

We left Sungai Palas Boh Tea centre and headed for lunch and i remember that i had printed out a coupon from a Cafe called Strawberry Moment. So, we went hunting for the cafe. We went back and forth from brinchang and tanah rata and finally we found it at Brinchang point. And it is also coincidentally we found the big red strawberry farm (cause we were wondering where is the farm before). Strawberry moments is a very cute cafe, they also sells chocolate as well. The menu is basically strawberry thingy. I am dying to have that strawberry strudel since i saw it in the internet and finally i managed to grab it with 20% discount coupon haha. it taste strawberrilicious. i also ordered Fish and chips and was also delicious.

They provided cafeteria which menu based on strawberry (again!). i only had the strawberry milkshakes (yummy!). Everything is strawberry even the toilet came with strawberry painting :)

At evening we stopped by at Kea farm to buy some fresh veggie to bring home. Rain start pouring down again. So we ran here and there between the veggie stalls. But we managed to buy some of vegetables at Kea farm. I think Kea farm are a bit expensive. Try buy a veggie at the veggie farm. I bought 3 butterhead cabbage for RM5 at the Big red strawberry farm. At Kea farm they put 3 for RM10 or 4 for RM10 if we plead them.
The next day, we check out early to avoid the traffic congested at Cameron highland because it is friday!!!! Weekends is coming!!! i guess we better move out.
The rain was pouring so heavily between those 3 days. We only get to go to some places when the rain stopped. Well, so much for the strawberry and Tea Land trip...
THE END.
