Before leaving Taiping we decided to stopped by to Taiping Museum but the Museum was closed for the Friday Prayer.  It was a bit dissappointment. We could wait for the Museum to open but we have to wait for 2 hours and we were running out of time. So we just walk around outside the museum and took some photos.

Taiping the Rain City Perak Malaysia (Part II)

2 – 4 June 2010 Taiping, Perak Malaysia (Part II) ~ The next day, we woke up early in the morning to catch a 7:30am 4WD ride at Bukit Larut (Maxwell Hill). It only took 5 minutes (by car) from Kamalodge to Maxwell Hill. We arrived at 7:15a.m and the office is still closed :D so we waited for a bit and the guy behind the counter said that we can get the ride on 8a.m, oh well... The ticket only cost RM6. It took about 45 minutes to get to the top of Bukit Larut [Maxwell Hill] however the 4WD didn't stop you right on peak of Bukit Larut. You can walk and do hiking to get to the peak. Other outside vehicles is not allowed here due to environmental care. Visitor can only go to the top by this 4WD and i heard they are going to build Gondola or cable car in the future.

You have to use 4x4WD to get to the hill.

Our 4x4 WD. cool huh?
Taking this 4WD is a great and scary experience. The driver drive you around steepy and narrow road. I was so afraid i will caught my weaknesses [carsick] but i survive! Try it you won't regret it. I saw some foxes passing by but i didn't get a chance to snap photos cause they're too fast dissappearing in the thick woods.

We walk til Chendana Hut and had our breakfast there. There is a cafe called Chendana Hut. The best thing is that the Hut is situated on the hill and you feel like you were standing in the same level of tall trees plus enjoying the breathtaking freshness and view from Bukit Larut. I love it here!!!

My burger set :)

you can rent room here at chendana hut

i almost at the same level as the tree :D

see.. on top of the world heheh

We like the view here :)

We leave Chendana Hut and walk around nearby area which surrounded by different viarities of plants and trees. There is also a watch tower and hanging bridge.

Around 11:00pm we left Bukit Larut and head to Bumese Pool. I thought Burmese pool is some kind of a pool but actually it is river and streams.

When we woke up we went to the Taiping War Cemetary that just stood next to kamalodge. It just take a minute. I love the peace atmosphere around the Kamalodge and the area nearby. We hang out by the Cemetery and look at the people passing by. There were lots of people doing activities such as walking, running and cycling.

Hang out near Cemetery.
