Aonang, Krabi Thailand (Part I)

6 - 8 March 2009 Aonang, Krabi Thailand (Part I) ~ This is very a short trip with my working colleague from another company (which is the only good colleague i ever had :D ) . We got stressed at the office and decided to go somewhere in a very short period. We saw Krabi flight ticket is on sale so we quickly grab it. We got the return ticket for only RM113. Damn cheap!! We went there without any reference from internet or other people that had been here (main terjah jer). But we had a good time.

we didn't stay here. sorry i have forgotten to snap photos of our stay :(

We stayed at Aonang Village. Do not be confused between Aonang Villa and Aonang Village. Aonang village is a budget place while Aonang Villa is quite starry place. But i still think many people can still afford staying at Aonang villa.

We got Aonang Village for THB900 divided by 2, so it become THB450 per person. Not Bad, huh? Well, the backpackers hostel is in mind and more fun but you have to see who tagged along with you when you travel. Some do not prefer backpackers hostel. Me? i can be at any place at all :D. After check-in, we went out strolling along Aonang town and also the beach. There are lots of shops selling souvenirs and clothing items. If you like shopping, you might probably like it here. As for me, i like to see things around and food hunting :D hehe.

huge menu. can you decide what do you want to order? we didn't have lunch here..

We had our lunch at Adam bungalows while strolling along Aonang town. I had squid fried rice while my colleague enjoy Plain rice with tom yum and of course it was delicious. I didn't feel dissapointed with the food when having it for the first time here. Adam Bungalow has small hut for you to have your food. They also serves transportation booking and also used book for sale. It's kinda nice to see that.

tempting chillies..

candid while enjoying my lunch.

After lunch we continue walking around the town and beaches. And suddenly we decided to get a tour. We wanted to get the Island hopping tour but we were too late as the Island tour closed at 15:00pm. We were there at 15:45pm. So we ask for tour schedule for tomorrow but it was fully booked. So we took the half day Elephant trekking tour for the next day. We should just take the tour while we were having lunch at Adam bungalows. It didn't across our mind that time. Oh well... maybe next time. Beside we already paid for the elephant trekking tour.

I think Aonang beach is average unless if you go island hopping and there are lots of massaging services along the beach. Massage! Massage! Massage… all the way :). We plan to take the massage the next day after returning from our half day tour (and the next day I only took foot reflexology while my colleague took body massage).

Krabi is exposed to Tsunami threat cause it situated near to Andaman sea

massage all the way.....

i took this one!

there are lots of seafood here that you can choose.

At night we went out for dinner at Aonang Plaza. I don't know why we landed here but i guess it wasn't really a waste because we had the best Tom Yum ever. It was too delicious. We had also pad thai (yummy!) and lime and chillie grilled snapper. It was so tempting and i only remember to snap photos of the food after we finished the dish hehe *greedy*... Beside we get to see the Thailand's cultural dance.

the thai cultural dance at Aonang Plaza. we sat far behind to avoid a droup of drank people..
