Melbourne trip (Again!) to Port Campbell via Great Ocean Sept 2013

~ Melbourne trip (Again!) to Port Campbell via Great Ocean 21 Sept 2013

We woke up early in the morning to pick up our rental car at thrifty. So we checked out and asked the receptionist to keep our luggage for temporary while we get to the thrifty. We walked there and only took us 7 minutes. We were a bit early to thrifty. We were supposed to pick up our car at 9:00 a.m but we were there at 8:30 a.m and Thrifty were just about to open. Anyway, we rented our car for 4 days and it cost AUD139.63 and we got this Barina Holden. After everything settled at thrifty, we went back to space by car and pick up our luggage and drove to Port Campbell via Great Ocean Road route.

We stopped by at gas station for a coffee and there are farm market behind it. As i remember last time i stopped by at the same gas station but there are no farm market open behind so i guess must be open only at spring time.

Bought some bananas, fresh berries and freshly squeeze orange juice. Then we continue our journey. For me it is just the same view but for my colleague everything seems exciting as this is her first visit.

We skipped Angelsea because the town were crowded with people and it was hard to find carpark. Probably we made our journey on weekend. I was lucky enough i did get to stopped here before and the town was like a ghost town. Pity for my colleague. Anyway, we headed straight to Split Point Light House.

Then we continue our journey along beautiful coastline. The weather is nice. The sun shines brightly but it was still cold. We headed to Lorne and Apollo Bay.

We stopped at look out point in the middle of the road because of the long winding road. My colleague who drove the car got a bit of carsick :D

Our Ride :)

After that we headed to Apollo Bay and made a quick stop. i told my colleague that probably Apolo bay will be crowded too and i was right. The town were crowded with people. We just made a quick stop to find a loo :D then we continue our journey.

We were early than we expected. It's 4:00 p.m and we decided to stop by at Apostle wildlife park before we reach to Port Campbell.
