Melbourne, Australia Day 3 (Part III) - to Geelong 17/05/2012 ~ We left Port Campbell to go back to Geelong but decided to use other road. We did not want to use the Great Ocean Road route. So we use the country side route from Port Campbell Princes Highway - Colac - Geelong. I love the route there where you can see farmland (farmville :) land), country side houses and small town. I wanna live there :D i didn't get a chance to snap lots of photos during the journey because the "driver" (my travel mate's friend) is driving too fast. I don't think she enjoyed having such scenery. The GPS makes a warning sign because she was over speeding. duh!
We stopped by at Colac to have late lunch. There are no Halal food to find. There was one Kebab restaurant but it was closed. So we went to Subway. We only purchased Seafood menu :D Colac is a very nice town. We continue our journey and we passed by Winchelsea. I LOVE Winchelsea!!!! Unfortunately the 'Driver' didn't want to stop. That really pissed me off. Oh well... :(
We arrived at Geelong at 5:00pm and the days getting darker. it's like 7:30pm in Malaysia. So we check-in at Geelong River View Park. We got ourselves a Cabin for 5 people. I love this cabin so much and to tell the truth i prefer Geelong more than Melbourne City. I don't know why. I wished that we spend 2 night here. But we already plan to go to Philips Island tomorrow.
The Cabin came with 2 room. One with 2 sets of bunk bed and another one came with Queen bed. it has kitchen, toilet, a shower room, living hall with sofa, TV's, dining table, balcony and your own carpark. We decided to do some cooking with groceries that we bought at Angelsea. We didn't get a chance to do cooking at Port Campbell hostel.
By the way i sleep on the couch because it felt so comfortable while watching some Australian channel. We woke up early in the morning, cook fried rice to pack for lunch for journey to Philips Island. Below some photos taken around the Riverview park during morning hour.
