Melbourne, Australia Day 6 Docklands and Harbour Town - (20/05/2012) ~ Penguin Parade is our last road trip. So we went back to Melbourne City and we check-in to Space hotel again. On day 5 we just hang out at Space and walk around doing nothing (so there is no post for Day 5). Everyone trying to catch sleep (sleep debt during the road trip). So on the 6 day we went out by the City Circle Tram to Docklands and Harbour Town.
The city circle tram didn't get you straight to Docklands, so you have to walk a bit. But we didn't mind because there's lot to see while walking. We passed by Yarra River and South Wharf where there is a bridge that looks like a Jaw of a Shark. Docklands is like FO and known as DFO where you can get inexpensive branded items (still if you have lots of money). I am a budget traveller so i was just strolling and walking around.
After waiting for my travel friends finished shopping, we left the Docklands and we catch the City Circle Tram again to Harbour Town. The city circle tram stop right infront of harbour town. Harbour Town is like FO too but i think it's bigger than Docklands. You can find many branded items here. Like i said i am a budget traveller so i was only looking and walking around :)
My travel friends spending more time at Harbour Town rather than Docklands. I guess time wasted because i wanted to go to other places. We left the place when Harbour town closing hour at 5pm. At autumn time days are shorter. So at 5pm it's nearly dark. At 6 it's already dark.
We head to dinner at Nando's and then we went and mingle at Nearby Public Library. It's crowded with people there. Malaysian public library?? is it almost empty?? hehehee
Head back to Space to the take shower and went to the cyber cafe at Space. AUD2 for 25 minutes :(
